DocPixEdit is designed so that your photos never have to leave your device. This page explains exactly what happens to your data when you use docpixedit.com.
Your photos are processed on your device
When you upload or capture a photo, it is opened directly in your web browser. Cropping, resizing, adjustments, background changes, compliance checks, print sheets and exports are all computed by code running in your browser. The photo is not sent to DocPixEdit’s servers or to any third party.
Photos are held in temporary browser memory only while you are working on them. They are not saved to your browser’s local storage, cookies or any database. Closing or reloading the page discards them.
No account, no sign-up
You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the tools.
Face detection and background removal
Where available, face detection and background removal run locally in your browser using downloaded model files. These features locate a face to help with cropping; they do not identify who you are, do not create a biometric profile, and do not transmit anything about your face.
Camera
If you choose “Use Camera”, your browser asks for permission and the live picture is shown inside the page. The video stream and the captured frame stay in your browser; the camera is switched off as soon as you close the camera window or leave the page. You can always upload a file instead.
Offline use and files stored by your browser
DocPixEdit can be installed as an app and works offline. To make that possible, your browser keeps a copy of the website’s own files (pages, scripts, icons) and — only after you have used face detection or background removal — the model files those features need. These caches contain no photos and nothing about you; you can remove them by clearing site data in your browser.
What we do not collect
- Photos, signatures or document images
- Face measurements or biometric templates
- Passport, ID or document numbers
- File names
Preferences stored in your browser
We store only non-sensitive preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice, in your browser’s local storage. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.
Third-party services
The website is served from our hosting provider’s content delivery network, which — like any web host — receives your IP address and standard request information in order to deliver the pages. We do not load third-party fonts, advertising or tracking scripts.
We do not currently use analytics. If we ever add it, it would be limited to anonymous, aggregate events (for example, “a tool was opened”) and would never include photos or personal data. This page would be updated first.
Cookies
DocPixEdit does not set cookies.
