About this tool
Passport and ID offices that take paper photos usually want two or more identical copies at an exact size. The Print Sheet Maker takes the finished photo from the editor and lays out as many copies as fit on 4 × 6 in or 5 × 7 in photo paper, A4, A5 or US Letter — with margins, a gap and optional cut lines — rendered at 300 DPI so that each copy measures correctly when printed at 100 %.
You can download the sheet as JPG pages for a photo kiosk or as a multi-page PDF. Because placement is calculated in millimetres from the photo's physical size, a 35 × 45 mm photo prints as 35 × 45 mm as long as the printer does not rescale the page.
How it works
- Make the photo first: upload, choose the country record or size, crop and check.
- Open the Print tab. Choose paper, orientation, number of copies, margin and gap; turn on cut lines or corner marks.
- Read the summary — copies per sheet and number of pages.
- Download the PDF or JPG page(s) and print at 100 % ("actual size"), never "fit to page".
Good to know
- 4 × 6 in photo paper at a kiosk is the cheapest option in most countries and fits eight 35 × 45 mm photos.
- Home inkjet prints on plain paper are rejected by many authorities; use glossy or matte photo paper.
- Measure the first print with a ruler. If it is off, the print dialog scaled the page — look for a "100 %" or "actual size" option.
Questions about this tool
How many passport photos fit on one page?
At 3 mm margins and a 2 mm gap: eight 35 × 45 mm photos on 4 × 6 in paper, thirty on A4, twenty 2 × 2 in photos on US Letter. The summary line updates as you change the settings.
Why is the sheet 2480 × 3508 pixels?
That is A4 at 300 DPI (210 mm ÷ 25.4 × 300 = 2480). Every sheet is rendered at 300 DPI so photo positions land on exact millimetres.
Can a print shop use the file?
Yes. Give them the JPG page for the paper size they use and ask for a borderless print at 100 %; or hand over the PDF, whose page size is set in millimetres.
